Hеrе arе sоmе tips fоr dеaling with blоggеr’s blоск.
1. Revisit Old Content
When you’re stuck, sometimes it’s helpful to reread an article of two from your archives. Pick one you remember feeling really good about when you first wrote it. The idea here is to somehow regain that sense of enthusiasm you originally felt, and take that new energy and put it into a new article. Also, rereading an old article might make you realize that your opinion on the issue has changed, in which case you could write a post devoted to addressing that older article from a new perspective!
2. Write a Comment at Another Blog
Visit one of your favorite blogs on your blogroll and see what that author has recently posted. Begin typing a response to the article in the comment section. Once you feel yourself gaining momentum, copy and paste the content into a new post with a link back to the article that inspired you. Not only have you created new content, but you’ve hopefully begun a worthwhile discussion among your community.
3. Check Keyword Trends
Check recent search trends and copy a popular keyword phrase into your post editor. Turn off your computer monitor or cover your laptop screen with a piece of paper and force yourself to type for five minutes. Write anything that comes to mind about this keyword phrase. You won’t compose perfect content during these five minutes; however, the free-writing session just might lead you down a new path regarding this keyword phrase. Then, you can rest assured that your new post will have an audience excited to read it.
4. Change the Scenery
If you’re still having trouble writing, then maybe your current setup isn’t doing it for you. Sometimes a change of scenery can be enough to jolt your mind out of its comfort zone. Move to a different room in your house. Go to a new coffee shop. Switch from a computer to a pad of paper. Anything that puts your thoughts in a new context, in a context unfamiliar to you, could be enough to change the way you see your content.
5. Turn Off the Computer
When all else fails, turn off the computer. Sure, we’d like to produce new content every day so as not to disappoint our visitors, but sometimes enough is enough. Republish a popular article from the archive, briefly link to another article that caught your eye, or simply put up a cheerful vacation message for your readers and take the day off! After all, you’ve most likely earned it.
